As women in education, we are often seen as the glue that holds everything together—for our students, our schools, our families, and our communities. But in the midst of giving so much to others, how often do we pause to give back to ourselves?
This weekend, I am honored to be speaking at the Delta Kappa Gamma State Conference, sharing insights on “The Leadership Dance: Prioritizing Self-Care to Lead with Strength and Resilience.” This topic is deeply personal and incredibly timely. In our pursuit of excellence in leadership and education, we cannot afford to leave ourselves behind.
The Leadership Dance is about more than movement—it’s about intentional steps that align purpose, passion, and well-being. In this session, we’ll explore how self-care isn’t selfish—it’s strategic. When we step back to rest, step away to reflect, and step in to reconnect with our “why,” we fortify our leadership foundation. True strength in leadership starts with resilience, and resilience starts with self-care.
✨ Here’s a sneak peek of what we’ll explore:
The 3 core self-care steps of The Leadership Dance
How to identify burnout signals before they take over
Practices to realign your energy, boundaries, and vision
Why self-care is the key to sustainable, purpose-driven leadership
To the incredible women of DKG—thank you for the work you do every single day. I cannot wait to connect, grow, and dance through leadership together this weekend. 💃❤️
Let’s lead strong, lead well, and never forget to care for the leader within.
